What’s On
Brisbane will once again come alive with music on Thursday, 21 June 2012. On this day, Fête de la Musique Brisbane joins the chorus of more than 400 cities worldwide to bring music to the most unexpected places – all in the name of making music everywhere!
In 2011, a choir and percussion group belted out tunes on the Goodwill Bridge, a West End hair salon threw a late night party, school choirs took over the State Library and musicians performed on buses, CityCats and in train stations.
Fête de la Musique Brisbane provides a performance platform for all people who love making music. Whether you are a professional musician who has been playing for years or an aspiring performer who is looking for a chance to try out their skills, Fête de la Musique Brisbane is for you. Musicians of all ages, genres and abilities are welcome – from hip hop to classical, choirs to rock bands, and everything in between.
All performances are free for the public to attend. Musicians, venues and event organisers are encouraged to register to be part of this joyous celebration of music and share in the unique spirit of Fête de la Musique.
Registrations will open on 21 February, 2012.
Keep checking for the full program in May.
