Conditions of Participation
PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT PROVISIONS THAT GOVERN YOUR PARTICIPATION IN FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE.
BY CHECKING THE “I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE” BOX ON THE MUSICIAN REGISTRATION FORM AVAILABLE VIA THE FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE WEBSITE, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.
1. Definitions
All references to “we”, “us” and “our” below, are references to Brisbane City Council ABN 72 002 765 795. All references to “you” or “your” are references to the person(s) who registers on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website as an artist, musician or performer (hereinafter referred to as “Performer”) or as a school registering a group of artists, musicians or performers (hereinafter referred to as “Performer”) to perform at the 2012 FETE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE event.
2. The Event
(a) We (in collaboration with Brisbane Marketing Pty Ltd ABN 86 094 633 262 and Alliance Française de Brisbane Incorporated ABN 43 848 621 445 [hereinafter referred to as the “Event Collaborators”]) are the coordinator of FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE, a unique annual international music event that will take place on Thursday 21 June 2012 in Brisbane, Australia (the “Event”).
(b) We assist with matching registered Event volunteers (e.g. musicians and performers, and other volunteers) with registered Event venues by providing information received via our website to other registrants (“our services”), and work with the Event Collaborators, registered Event venues, Performers and other parties to promote the Event.
3. To be Involved
To be involved in the Event, you must:
(a) complete and submit the Musician Registration Form available on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website (“the Website”);
(b) accept these Conditions of Participation;
(c) ensure your details that are registered through the Website are up to date at all times;
(d) liaise with Event Collaborators and registered Event venues to arrange your performance times and locations; and
(e) attend an induction either prior to the event or on the event day as determined by the Event Collaborators.
You must be allocated a performance location and time in order for you to perform in the Event. The Event Collaborators will approve the suitability of your proposed performance for the Event. Their decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in respect thereof.
4. Authority and Permissions (Schools only)
By registering the Performer via the Musician Registration Form, you acknowledge and accept that:
(a) you are authorised to register a student band, group or act to perform at the Event;
(b) you will be responsible for ensuring that each student Performer who participates in the Event is aware of and complies with these Conditions of Participation;
(c) you will be responsible for ensuring that any protocols relating to variations to the student Performers’ school routine, identification and supervision levels when outside of school grounds, etc have been followed as applicable to your school’s particular policies, including those protocols which ensure that your student Performers will be covered under your school’s Personal Accident and Public Liability Insurances (through Education Queensland);
(d) you will be responsible for ensuring that each student Performer who participates in the Event has been given express permission to do so by their parent or legal guardian; and
(e) you will be responsible for ensuring that the parent or legal guardian of each student Performer who participates in the Event acknowledges and accepts that their child’s performance may be recorded in the ways and for the purposes set out in Condition 8. If a parent or legal guardian does not want their child to appear in these Recordings, they can email the Event Team directly at fetedelamusique@brisbane.qld.gov.au to notify us of this.
5. No Partnership
You acknowledge and accept that we are not your partner, agent or representative and no aspect of our relationship with you creates any agency, partnership, employment or trust at law for any purpose whatsoever.
6. No Payment
You acknowledge and accept that:
(a) we are not obliged to, nor will we make any, payment to you (royalty or otherwise) for your performances as an Performer at the Event; and
(b) the Event is free for attendees and as such, you will not impose any type of fee or other charge to persons attending your performance(s) at the Event.
(c) you are allowed to receive payment for your own merchandise, provided you have gained approval to sell those products by the Registered Venue you are performing at; and that you provide all relevant materials such as cash floats.
7. Information Provided by You
(a) All registration forms will be our property. You may provide us with “Personal Information” when you complete the Performer registration form (e.g. your name, age, address and phone number).
(b) We may use and communicate this Personal Information in the ways described in our privacy policy, a copy of which is available at www.brisbane.qld.gov.au or by phoning (07) 3403 8888.
(c) You consent to us collecting, storing, using, distributing, disclosing and communicating the information (including Personal Information) provided in your registration form to the Event Collaborators, volunteers and registered Event venues (and their employees, contractors, sub-contractors, agents and representatives) for the sole purpose of delivering the Event, as set out in clause 2.
8. Your Performance
You will:
(a) carry out your performance in a professional manner;
(b) abide by the International Charter as outlined on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website; and
(c) provide sets, costumes, props and stage equipment as necessary and incidental to the provision of your performance.
9. Rights Granted by You
(a) You authorise us and the Event Collaborators (through our respective assignees, licensees, servants, employees, contractors and/or agents) to make recordings (both audio-visual and audio only) of your performances at the Event (the “Recordings”).
(b) We and the Event Collaborators will only use the Recordings for archival purposes and promotional purposes to promote and market: the Event; the involvement of us and/or the Event Collaborators in the Event; the City of Brisbane; and events and activities held in the City of Brisbane.
(c) We and the Event Collaborators will not commercially release CDs or DVDs of the Recordings, unless we and/or the Event Collaborators negotiate the relevant copyright permissions and terms with you by separate agreement.
(d) You acknowledge and accept that we and/or the Event Collaborators own all intellectual property rights (including copyright) throughout the world in perpetuity in the respective Recordings made by us and/or the Event Collaborators including the right to:
(i) broadcast and/or communicate the Recordings to the public via television broadcast (both during the Performances and from the Recordings);
(ii) communicate the Recordings over the Internet;
(iii) communicate the Recordings to the public on radio (both for simulcast with the Performances and for simulcast with any later broadcast or transmission of the Recordings);
(iv) communicate the Recordings via screens around the venue (if applicable);
(v) include the Recordings or excerpts from the Recordings on a video, CD, DVD or in other promotional material related to FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE event(s); and
(vi) synchronise the Recordings with any media for any purpose set out in this Condition 9(d).
(e) You acknowledge and accept that:
(i) you will receive no additional payment for the uses of the Recordings by us and/or the Event Collaborators as set out in this Condition 9; and
(ii) we have the right to use your name, professional name, the individual artists names, photographs, image, likeness, biography, website link, quotes and testimonials about the Event or the Event Collaborators for any purposes connected with the Event and the use of the Recordings for archival and promotional purposes.
10. No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, we expressly exclude all express or implied terms, conditions, warranties, statements, assurances and representations in relation to the Event. If any of the exclusions or limitations set out in these Conditions of Participation are declared illegal or void or if you claim that there has been a breach of a term, condition, warranty, statement or assurance which cannot be excluded by these Conditions of Participation, to the extent permitted by law, our entire liability and your exclusive remedy is limited, at our discretion, to us supplying our services again. Nothing in these Conditions of Participation excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or remedy implied or imposed by statute or regulation if it cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
11. No Responsibility
You acknowledge and accept that we will not be responsible or liable to you:
(a) if the Event, or any event within the Event, is not capable of running as planned;
(b) if the Event, or any event within the Event, is cancelled or suspended (in whole or in part);
(c) for any problems or technical malfunction associated with the Event or any event within the Event;
(d) if your performance(s) in the Event are cancelled or suspended (in whole or in part); or
(e) for any injury, loss or damage incurred or caused by you in connection with your participation in or the provision of your performance(s) at the Event or an event within the Event or for any other reason whatsoever.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for, and you release us and hold us harmless from any Claim for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential, loss liability costs or damages, including without limitation, whether in contract or tort (including negligence or otherwise) in connection with your participation in the Event even if we were aware of the possibility of such damage or if such damage was foreseeable.
13. Indemnity
You undertake and agree to indemnify us and keep us fully indemnified against all actions, suits, claims or demands, costs or expenses (including any and all of our legal fees on an indemnity basis) (“Claim”) made or brought against us arising from or relating to:
(a) any breach of these Conditions of Participation or any express or implied warranty or representation by you;
(b) any claim by any person arising out of your participation in or the provision of your performance(s) at the Event;
(c) any liability, loss, damage, injury or death caused by or resulting from any act or omission (whether wilful, reckless negligent or otherwise) by you.
14. Contributory Liability
Notwithstanding Condition 12, your liability for any Claim arising out of any personal injury to or the death of any person or loss of or damage to property shall be reduced to the extent that such Claim is a direct result of either any breach by us of any provision of these Conditions of Participation or any negligent act or omission of us or our employees, agents, contractors or sub-contractors.
15. Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance (Does not apply to Schools)
Notwithstanding Conditions 11(e), 12 and 13(b), you as a volunteer Performer aged between 10 and 85 will be covered under our Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance policies if you:
(a) are a registered volunteer Performer as notified in writing by us or our nominated delegate;
(b) sign in and out of the Event on an official FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE Timesheet as issued to registered Event venues or Event Collaborators by us;
(c) report any incident to the respective registered Event venue and us at the time of the incident or within a reasonable timeframe after the occurrence of the incident; and
(d) complete and return to us a Report of Workplace Incident, Injury and Investigation Form CC1464 (Parts A, B & C, as appropriate) at the time of the incident or within a reasonable timeframe after the occurrence of the incident.
About Our Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance Policies for Event volunteers
If you accidentally injure an individual or damage third party property while participating in the Event and as a result they sue you, our Public Liability Insurance policy is designed to cover your costs of defending the claim and paying any awards or compensation recoverable from you. Our Personal Accident Insurance policy is designed to cover some of the expenses incurred by you if you accidentally injure yourself whilst undertaking duties as an authorised volunteer. Our policies of insurance are subject to terms, conditions and limits – as are all policies of insurance. For more information about your coverage as an authorised Event volunteer under our policies of insurance or to obtain a Report of Workplace Incident, Injury and Investigation Form CC1464, please contact the Event Team at fetedelamusique@brisbane.qld.gov.au
16. Jurisdiction
These Conditions of Participation are subject to the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the courts that hear appeals from them.
17. Severability
If any of these Conditions of Participation are found by any court or other competent authority to be illegal, unlawful or unenforceable, then the remainder of these Conditions of Participation shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
18. Amendments to these Conditions
Any changes to these Conditions of Participation will be posted on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website. You will be bound by the version in existence at the time you check the “I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE” box on the Musician registration form available via the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website.
VENUES
Conditions of Participation

BY CHECKING THE “I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE” BOX ON THE VENUE REGISTRATION FORM, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.
1. Definitions
All references to “we”, “us” and “our” below, are references to Brisbane City Council ABN 72 002 765 795. All references to “you” or “your” are references to the person(s) or organisation who register on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website to participate in the Event by providing a venue, including schools who present a program of musical performances or activities either at their school or at a venue that they have organised in the community (both are hereinafter referred to as “Event venues”) as part of the 2012 FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE event and where the context allows includes the Performers (individually and/or collectively) .
2. The Event
(a) We (in collaboration with Brisbane Marketing Pty Ltd ABN 86 094 633 262 and Alliance Française de Brisbane Incorporated ABN 43 848 621 445 [hereinafter referred to as the “Event Collaborators”]), are the coordinator of FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE, a unique annual international music event that will take place on Tuesday 21 June 2012 in Brisbane, Australia (the “Event”).
(c) We assist with matching registered Event volunteers (e.g. artists, musicians and performers, and other volunteers) with registered Event venues by providing information received via our website to other registrants (“our services”), and work with the Event Collaborators, registered Event venues, Performers and other parties to promote the Event.
3. To be Involved
To be involved in the Event, you must:
(a) register your venue on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website (“the Website”);
(b) accept these Conditions of Participation;
(c) ensure your details that are registered through the Website are up to date at all times;
(d) liaise with Event Collaborators and Performers to arrange performances at your venue as part of Fete de la Musique Brisbane 2012; and
(e) liaise with Event Collaborators and Performers who are performing at your Venue and provide them with your logistical information and performance requirements.
We will assess your venue and event submissions and decide whether your nominated venue and event is appropriate and suitable for inclusion in the Event. This decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in respect thereof.
4. Authority and Permissions (Schools only)
By registering as a Venue, you acknowledge and accept that:
(a) you are authorised to register your School’s venue and program to be included as part of the Event;
(b) you will be responsible for ensuring that each student Performer who participates in the Event is aware of and complies with these Conditions of Participation;
(c) if your event is open to the public, you will be responsible for ensuring that any entity who provides the venue (including your school) as part of the Event registers via the Venue registration form available from the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website;
(d) you are responsible for ensuring that any protocols relating to variations to the student Performers’ school routine, identification and supervision levels when outside of school grounds, etc have been followed as applicable to your school’s particular policies, including those protocols which ensure that your student Performers will be covered under your schools Personal Accident and Public Liability Insurances (through Education Queensland);
(e) you are responsible for ensuring that each student Performer who participates as part of the Event has been given express permission to do so by their parent or legal guardian (if applicable); and
(f) you are responsible for ensuring that the parent or legal guardian of each student Performer who participates as part of the Event acknowledges and accepts that their child’s performance may be recorded in the ways and for the purposes set out in Condition 9. If a parent or legal guardian does not want their child to appear in these Recordings, they can email the Event Team directly at fetedelamusique@brisbane.qld.gov.au to notify us of this.
5. No Partnership and No Tenancy
You acknowledge and accept that we are not your partner, tenant, agent or representative and no aspect of our relationship with you creates any agency, tenancy, joint venture, partnership, employment or trust at law for any purpose whatsoever.
6. No Payment
You acknowledge and accept that:
(a) we are not obliged to, nor will we make any, payment to you (royalty or otherwise) in exchange for you making your venue available as an Event venue;
(b) the Event is free for attendees and as such, you will not impose any type of fee or other charge to:
(i) Performer(s) performing at your venue in connection with the Event; or
(ii) persons attending your venue for the purpose of the Event; and
(c) you are responsible for any costs incurred by your venue in connection with your nominated venue’s participation in the Event.
(d) Performers have our consent to sell merchandise associated with their performance and must seek your approval to do so at your nominated venue.
7. Information provided by you
(a) All registration forms will be our property. You may provide us with “Personal Information” when you complete the venue registration form (e.g. your name, age, address and phone number).
(b) We may use and communicate this Personal Information in the ways described in our privacy policy, a copy of which is available at www.brisbane.qld.gov.au or by phoning (07) 3403 8888.
(c) You consent to us collecting, storing, using, distributing, disclosing and communicating the information (including Personal Information) provided in your registration form to the Event Collaborators, volunteers and registered Event venues for the sole purpose of delivering the Event, as set out in Clause 2 and to the employees, contractors, sub-contractors, agents and representatives of the Event Collaborators, Event Coordinators, voluntees and registered Event venues, for the purposes of delivering the Event as set out in Clause 2.
8. Your Venue
You will ensure that your venue:
(a) is kept clean and tidy and is safe for access and attendance by Event Volunteers and members of the public attending the Event;
(b) is open for attendance by members of the public for the duration of the Event; and
(c) abides by the International Charter as outlined on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website;
(d) complies with;
(i) relevant local laws and Environmental Protection Act 1994 guidelines;
(ii) relevant Australian Standards and Codes; and
(iii) Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995
9. Rights Granted by You
(a) You authorise us and the Event Collaborators (through our respective assignees, licensees, servants, employees, contractors and/or agents and following legal identification protocols) to access your venue and to make recordings (both audio-visual and audio only) of the Performer’s performances at the Event (“Recordings”).
(b) We and the Event Collaborators will only use the Recordings for archival purposes and promotional purposes to promote and market: the Event; the involvement of us and/or the Event Collaborators in the Event; the City of Brisbane; and events and activities held in the City of Brisbane.
(c) We and the Event Collaborators will not commercially release CDs or DVDs of the Recordings, unless we and/or the Event Collaborators first notify you.
(d) You acknowledge and accept that we and/or the Event Collaborators own all intellectual property rights (including copyright) throughout the world in perpetuity in the respective Recordings made by us and/or the Event Collaborators, including the right to:

(e) You acknowledge and accept that:
(i) you will receive no additional payment for the uses of the Recordings by us and/or the Event Collaborators as set out in this Condition 9; and
(ii) we have the right to use your venue’s name, school’s name, address, description and website link, quotes and testimonials about the Event or the Event Collaborators for any purposes in connection with the Event and the use of the Recordings for archival and promotional purposes.
10. No warranties

In most cases we have no involvement in the running or production of any event taking place at your venue within or as part of the Event. You acknowledge and accept that we will not be responsible or liable to you:
(a) if the Event, or any event within the Event, is not capable of running as planned;
(b) if the Event, or any event within the Event, is cancelled or suspended (in whole or in part);
(c) for any problems or technical malfunction associated with the Event or any event within the Event;
(d) if use of your venue is cancelled or suspended; or
(e) for any injury, loss, default, omission or damage incurred or caused by you or your venue in connection with the Event or an event within the Event or for any other reason whatsoever.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for, and you release us and hold us harmless from any Claim for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential, loss liability costs or damages, including without limitation, whether in contract or tort (including negligence or otherwise) in connection with your participation in the Event even if we were aware of the possibility of such damage or if such damage was foreseeable.
13. Indemnity
You undertake and agree to indemnify us and keep us fully indemnified against all actions, suits, claims or demands, costs or expenses (including any and all of our legal fees on an indemnity basis) (“Claim”) made or brought against us arising from or relating to:
(a) any breach of these Conditions of Participation or any express or implied warranty or representation by you;
(b) any claim by any person in connection with your venue as an Event venue;
(c) any liability, loss, damage, injury or death caused by or resulting from any act or omission (whether wilful, reckless, negligent or otherwise) by you;
(d) any damage caused to your venue in connection with the Event.
14. Contributory Liability
Notwithstanding clause 13, your liability for any Claim arising out of any personal injury to or the death of any person or loss of or damage to property shall be reduced to the extent that such Claim is a direct result of either any breach by us of any provision of these Conditions of Participation or any negligent act or omission of us or our employees, agents, contractors or sub-contractors.
15. Insurance
(a) You agree to obtain and maintain your own workers compensation insurance (and if applicable, for your employees, contractors or agents) in accordance with Queensland law and comply with all workers compensation requirements.
(b) You agree to obtain and maintain valid and enforceable public liability insurance policies that cover all sums that you may become legally liable to pay in respect of or in relation to:
(i) the death of or bodily injury (including disease or illness) to, any person including (but not limited to) any officer, employee, agent or contractor of yours or ours; or
(ii) loss of or damage to property and equipment (including consequential loss), however caused, whether as a result of negligence, breach of duty or breach of statute by you or otherwise.
(c) You agree to provide a copy of the policies and Certificates of Currency of Insurances to us upon request.
16. Event Volunteers – Public Liability Insurance
Notwithstanding Conditions 10, 11 & 12, the Event volunteers (artists, musicians and performers, and other volunteers) aged between 10 and 85, except those performing as part of a school group, will be covered under our Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance policies if they:
(a) are a registered volunteer as notified in writing by us or our nominated delegate;
(b) sign in and out of your venue on an official FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE Timesheet as issued to you by us;
(c) report any incident to you and us at the time of the incident or within a reasonable timeframe after the occurrence of the incident; and
(d) complete and return to us a Report of Workplace Incident, Injury and Investigation Form CC1464 (Parts A, B & C, as appropriate) at the time of the incident or within a reasonable timeframe after the occurrence of the incident.
About Our Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance Policies for Event volunteers

17. Your Obligations to Event Volunteers
You agree that you are responsible for ensuring that:
(a) all Event volunteers working at your venue correctly sign in and out of your venue on an official FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE Timesheet;
(b) you return to us all completed, original copies of the official FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE Timesheets within 14 days of the Event;
(c) you provide a safe working environment for all Event volunteers; and
(d) you provide an appropriate Workplace Health & Safety induction for all Event volunteers to your venue, including (but not limited to) ensuring Event volunteers are aware of any hazards and emergency procedures (including contact numbers) which exist at your venue.
18. Jurisdiction
These Conditions of Participation are subject to the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the courts that hear appeals from them.
19. Severability
If any of these Conditions of Participation are found by any court or other competent authority to be illegal, unlawful or unenforceable then the remainder of these Conditions of Participation shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
20. Amendments to these Conditions
Any changes to these Conditions of Participation will be posted on the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE website. You will be bound by the version in existence at the time you check the “I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE” box on the venue registration form available via the FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE BRISBANE website.
VOLUNTEERS
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
In order to be eligible to volunteer for Fete de la Musique Brisbane 2012, you must read, understand, accept and agree to the following conditions of participation:
1. I accept that Fete de la Musique Brisbane 2012 is an event managed by Brisbane City Council in conjunction with Brisbane Marketing and Alliance Francaise (Hereinafter referred to as the Event Collaborators).
2. I understand that the event operates in accordance with the International Charter set by the French Government in 1982 (available at www.fetedelamusique.culture.fr) and that as part of that charter, understand that all musicians, performers and venues are involved on a voluntary basis.
3. I agree to be bound by the International Charter and participate on a voluntary basis.
4. I agree to attend all shifts, as detailed in the Schedule supplied to me by the Fete de la Musique Volunteer Coordinator. If I am unable to attend any particular shift, I will advise the Volunteer Coordinator at the earliest possible opportunity. I understand that the schedule may be subject to change; even though, all care will be taken to give 24 hours notice of such changes.
5. I understand I must attend an induction prior to the event or on the event day. Confirmation of the induction details will be arranged prior to the event.
6. I understand that I will be provided with an event T-shirt, which I will be able to keep at the end of my volunteer role.
7. I will not bring valuables to shifts. I understand that Brisbane City Council will not accept any responsibility for any loss of personal property.
8. In order to be covered under Council’s Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance policy (for persons aged between 10 – 85 years), I agree to sign in and out of each shift and in the event of an incident, report it to the event venue and staff members, as well as complete any relevant paperwork at the time of the incident.
9. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, I agree to the filming, video recording, audio recording or televising or other communications or visual media (herein after called “the Medium”) of any rehearsal or performance in Fete de la Musique Brisbane 2012 at which I am volunteering at, provided that:
i. The length of the Medium which is screened/ broadcast is less than five (5) minutes in duration;
ii. The Medium is used only for the purpose of the Promotion of Fete de la Musique Brisbane, Brisbane City Council and its event Collaborators and;
iii. I warrant that I have full power and authority to make this covenant on my own behalf.
10. I understand that I will be required to provide personal information (eg name and phone numbers) to Council and that Council may use these details in ways described in our privacy policy, a copy of which is available at ww.brisbane.qld.gov.au or by phoning (07) 3403 8888.
11. I agree to following the directives given to me by the staff of the Council and the venue provided they are within my capability and I do not feel threatened.
12. I agree that if I fail to follow directions by Event staff, without valid cause, my volunteer role may be terminated and that I will immediately return any t-shirt and volunteer passes issued to me.
13. It is agreed that in the event that performances are cancelled, I agree and understand that this agreement will terminate and that there will be no claim for damages by either party against the other.
