Schools
In 2011 a number of student bands and school ensembles participated in Fête de la Musique Brisbane, gaining invaluable performance experience, and entertaining audiences across the city.
The event provides a public performance outcome for students and has a direct link to the music curriculum as well as to a variety of other curriculum-wide learning outcomes. Schools can be involved in a number of ways.
Register a group to perform
Teachers can register student bands, choirs and groups through the Musician Registration Form. During this process our event team are available to support you and will assist you with detailing requirements such as technical specifications.
Registrations for Fête de la Musique Brisbane 2012 are now closed.
Present your own program
If your school would like to present its own program as part of Fete de la Musique, you can register your Event with us. You register your school (or another location that you have arranged) as a venue through the Venue Registration Form and then add the groups that are performing so that your Event is registered. Examples of programs could include students performing a lunchtime concert for their peers, an afternoon recital for parents by the school choir and brass band, or a concert at a local nursing home, library, park or other civic space. You could also invite other bands and groups to perform at your event with your students.

Performances of all styles and genres will be held in locations across Brisbane. A full program will become available to download from the event website and our dedicated event team can work with teachers to identify performances that best meet their needs.
